The Omaha Marriott Downtown brings back Jewell on Capitol to entertain guests with music, cocktails, and community.
(OMAHA, NE – April 26, 2024) — The Omaha Marriott Downtown at the Capitol District is pleased to announce the opening of the music venue formally known as The Jewell. Reimagined and renamed Jewell on Capitol, this new live music lounge builds from Omaha’s music tradition and combines the perfect blend of fine crafted cocktails, live entertainment, and refined fare in a warm and inviting environment.
Nestled in the Capitol District in downtown Omaha, Jewell on Capitol is set to reopen to the public May 10th with a weekend of live music from award winning musicians.
From the specially designed stage with exquisite acoustics to the intimate ambiance, Jewell on Capitol merges traditional charm with sleek modern design.
“Jewell on Capitol is woven tightly into the Omaha music scene. “When you see a show at Jewell on Capitol, you’re seeing something special,” said musician Mitch Towne. “I have played in venues all over the country and the world, and I can say with assurance that Jewell on Capitol is one of the finest I’ve ever performed in,” said Towne.
Beyond booking high caliber acts, supporting local musicians and community events will be a focus of Jewell on Capitol.
Jewell on Capitol is proud to participate in the 9th annual In The Market For Blues Festival which will take place on August 3rd.
“The Blues Society of Omaha is very excited and proud to present live music at Jewell on Capitol as part of this year’s In The Market For Blues festival and I am personally looking forward to returning to this fabulous venue that was made for live music,” said Mary Elofson with the Blues Society of Omaha.
Opening night at Jewell on Capitol will kick off on May 10th with Juke Butter and special guest vocalist Enjoli Mitchell. Juke Butter is a unique soul and funk organ trio featuring Chad Stoner on sax, Drew Brookins on drums, and Mitch Towne on Hammond organ. Vocalist Enjoli Mitchell is the recent recipient of “Artist of the Year” at the 2024 Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards.
The opening celebration continues May 11th with the highly acclaimed Hector Anchondo.
Jewell on Capitol will be open Friday and Saturday nights with no covers. Guests can expect world-class entertainment, craft cocktails, and small bites in a sophisticated environment.
